My client are a Merseyside based, family owned building contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality projects across the North West. Services include new build, refurbishment, fit out, housing, social housing maintenance, and fire protection. They work across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, leisure, and education.

Due to sustained growth and increased workload, they are seeking an Estimator to join their team and work on projects across the Merseyside and surrounding areas.

As an Estimator, your role will involve:

• Producing accurate estimations.
• Obtain quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers
• Collate detailed price lists and produce cost summaries
• Prepare and submit quotations for work.
• Interpreting tenders for projects
• Reviewing tender drawings to prepare and submit quotations
• Maintaining professional relationships with clients.
• Reviewing bid documents, drawings, specifications, and other reports.
• Identifying financial, design, production, and contractual risks and opportunities
• Ensuring subcontractor and supplier quotations are obtained.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, ideally within a similar industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
