The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Interim- The Rail Recruitment Experts are seeking several skilled Mechanically biased Train Assemblers.

The Opportunity You will be working in a state-of-the-art facility in Newport, Wales installing windows to purpose built Trams.

Hours:

Days: 
Monday to Thursday- 7AM-4PM
Friday: 7AM-1PM

Shifts:
Monday to Thursday- 6AM- 3PM or 2PM-11PM
Friday- 6AM-11AM, or 2PM-7PM

Role and Responsibilities
You will be completing sanding and priming to trains, ensuring they’re ready to have repairs and installations completed. Completing sealant installation to interior and exterior of rail vehicles.

Other tasks include:

• Sanding the vehicles.
• Prepping exterior of rail vehicles.
• Interior sealants to windows.
• Exterior sealants to windows.
• Ensure maintenance on trains is completed, where needed.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of completing fitting to windows to automotive, marine, rail or aerospace. 

Essential

• Previous window fitting with an engineering background.
• Relevant experience in completing sanding, and prepping to vehicles.
• Knowledge & experience in of window installation.
• Able to use sealant to ensure interior and exterior components are correctly installed.
• Flexible, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
