Health and Safety Advisor (Contract)

£375 per day (outside IR35)

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UKs largest Principal Contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The company works on a variety of projects and this position will cover a range of projects across Hampshire and Bristol. This role would suit candidates who have experince with fit out and Refurbishment.

This role can be facilitated on 3 day per week basis and would suit contractors who are currently supporting other clients.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Advising, and coaching contractors to ensure they can achieve the efficient and effective delivery of the health and safety strategy
• Assisting on the implementation of the health and safety strategy on site
• Auditing and reporting on health and safety performance
• Constantly assessing opportunities for health and safety improvements and sharing best practice across the site

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within construction or civil engineering or a related industry
• Hold a NEBOSH certificate minimum or other level 6 health and safety qualification
• Experience operating at site influencing and engaging key stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with drive, enthusiasm and the ability to promote a positive Health and Safety culture
