Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to maximise plant availability and maintain production.
- Comply with health and safety policies and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimise risks.
- Lock off or repair dangerous machinery immediately and notify relevant personnel.
- Resolve breakdowns, carry out PMs, and work on project/improvement tasks to minimise production downtime.
- Actively seek to perform PMs on offline machinery when time permits.
- Complete PM sheets with observations, completed jobs, and recommendations, and file with the Maintenance Planner.
- Gather information from production personnel to expedite fault-finding processes.
- Ensure engineering logs and computer systems are fully updated with relevant information at the end of each shift.
- Maintain professional communication with external parties, reflecting the company’s profile.

Skills and Experience Required:
- HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprentice with appropriate engineering qualifications.
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within a food manufacturing environment. Experience in any manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Electrically biased or multi-skilled.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is highly desirable.
