The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced engineer ready to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? We have an excellent opportunity for a Shift Lead to join our team in Slough. This position involves overseeing shift operations, ensuring the reliability of critical systems, and leading a team of engineers in a cutting-edge facility.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and supervising a team of engineers to maintain optimal operation of the facility.
• Overseeing the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Managing shift operations, including coordinating activities and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Responding to and resolving incidents swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety regulations.
• Providing training, mentorship, and performance reviews for the engineering team.
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to shift activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering or critical environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends.
• HVAP (High Voltage).
