Experienced Cat C driver, flat-bed experience Newcastle.

I would like to speak with candidates who have a Cat C licence with flat-bed experience and are proficient with securing loads safely. Due to the physical nature of the role, candidates need to be fit, able to comfortably lift 20kg single-handedly. 

You can expect a typical 50 hour week but there may be times when an overnight stay is required, therefore flexibility will be required.

You will liaise closely with your Line Manager in regards to planning routes/deliveries in advance in the most time/cost efficient way.

You will ensure that the vehicle is kept tidy and clean every day in addition to the daily driver checks. Any equipment or mechanical failures have to be reported to your Line Manager. 

This is a customer facing role and you will be expected to uphold the company's excellent reputation for customer service at all times. This includes face to face and via telephone, reporting any concerns to your Line Manager.

You will adhere to, at all times, driving within the working time regulations. You will also be expected to drive safely and considerately.

All accidents/incidents need to be reported immediately.

Initially, this opportunity is temporary ongoing, however excellent performance will certainly be reviewed to offer a full time, permanent contract.
