Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, a well-established, successful, and an innovative medical device manufacturer, based in Surrey, UK. Recruiting for a Quality Engineering Lead.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day Supervision of the Quality Engineering personnel.

Salary/Rate:

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum + great benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Suggest improvements to the Quality System and assist in its development.
  • Deputise for the Head of QA and RA where permitted by procedures.
  • Report quality matrix data to the monthly Management Review Meeting in line with documented procedures.
  • Day to day supervision of quality engineers.
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of internal failures, supplier quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Conduct final inspection and approve release to market of finished goods.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Science or Engineering
  • Strong Quality Assurance background – preferably in the medical industry
  • Process validation experience.
  • Understanding of EU MDR and MDSAP.
  • Understanding of Class 3 implantable medical devices
  • Thorough understanding of CE marking, EU device directives and FDA
  • Experience in internal and supplier auditing
