Our client within the catering industry based in Chessington are looking for a reliable driver to join their team.

The client is looking for a new driver for their 3.5 tonne vans to cover various routes. It is one day to Oxford, one day to Cambridge, one day to Birmingham, then two more local days.

 The role would be to load the vehicle in the afternoon in Chessington and then hit the road early each day. You will get to take the van home at night.

Driver Responsibilities:

• Help load the van
• Maintaining the vehicle is safe and clean
• Using navigation apps to determine the best route
• Collecting stock or goods from a collection point and ensuring that all customer orders are complete
• Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time
• Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues
• Delivering products that are in good condition to clients
• Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Unloading packages at the destination and getting clients to sign the necessary paperwork
• Updating route, mileage and delivery logs.

Driver Specification:

• Reliable
• Must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to drive for extended periods
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience using GPS technology
