About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team in Finchley. This part-time role focuses on supporting students who require extra help with their learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy.

You will be working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions, providing 1:1 and small group support to help students catch up and thrive. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and enjoys working with young children. Application Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within Key Stage 1.

• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• An understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and experience in delivering interventions would be an advantage.

• A positive, proactive approach and a willingness to learn and adapt.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teacher in the delivery of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

• Supporting students who need extra help with their learning, particularly in literacy and numeracy.

• Leading small group interventions to help students achieve their academic targets.

• Providing 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them fully participate in classroom activities.

• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
