Are you a Site Manger looking for a new opportunity ? I have a role for a Site Manager in Bedfordshire. You will be required to work collaboratively and pro-actively with all stakeholders to oversee operations on a day to day basis provide clear information at the right time to the right people in order to provide the best opportunity to deliver construction and refurbishment projects successfully in terms of safety, time, cost and quality whilst achieving customer satisfaction and profitability for the company.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

- Understand project specific timelines, process, responsibilities and contract terms and deliver the project accordingly
- Identify and eliminate any projects risks and report
- To promote the importance of customer relationships
- Maintain supplier relationships
- Identify any project opportunities for improvement and report to PM
- Manage the Health & Safety and Environmental information whilst on site
- Liaise with all suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure a full understanding of their responsibilities and requirements
- Manage the reporting of information as dictated within the company process/systems and the customers’ requirements
- Monitor all site works to ensure compliance with H&S, quality, Programme and costs
- Pro-actively manage the closing out of any defects
- Work with the QS / PM to agree customer and sub-contractor final accounts
- Attend training as and when required by the company and maintain levels of qualification
- Ensure the company’s Health and safety procedures are followed within site
- To direct the necessary labour, plant, staff and equipment to achieve project completion on time, to specification and within budget
- Monitor that the Buying team and Surveying department order the correct materials and sub-contract services in good time to meet contract objectives
- Manage site teams by monitoring performance against contract targets and instigating any necessary corrective actions
Ensure that staff and operatives are managed and led effectively by developing the skills and attitudes of managers leading to provision of a working environment that engenders high morale.

- SMSTS
- First Aid certificate
- Full Driver’s license
- Asbestos awareness
 
Skills
 
- Applicants must have experience of working on refurbishments and new build projects
- Take personal responsibility for making things happen,
- Applicants must have experience of managing all aspects of the build; the applicant will be required to coordinate the packages during constructionTrade experience and site experience required
- Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation
- an ability to communicate with the Project Managers to understand outcomes;
- a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking;
- a creative and innovative approach to problem solving
- an ability to plan their work, and that of others, to achieve deadlines;
- critical path awareness;
- negotiation and team work skills and the ability to motivate and lead other members of the site team collaboratively;
- detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials.
- an ability to lead the team to achieve an shared success outcome where all stakeholders benefit.
- You will be able to model behavior that shows, respect, helpfulness and co-operation
- Constructively challenge the status quo and seek better alternatives when possible
- Flexible with working hours and have the ability to travel within the local area on a regional and national basis when required
- Ability to take ownership and solve problems and implement actions
