Office Manager | Peterborough | Full Time | up to £32,000 pa

We are a successful online retail business, specialising in personalised gifts and housewares, and we’re excited to welcome an experienced Office Manager to our team. This is a crucial role, requiring a detail-oriented professional who excels in a fast-paced environment. As a family-run company with a close-knit team, we value collaboration, dedication, and a positive attitude.

With a strong presence on multiple marketplaces and our own successful online stores, we are looking to expand further, including potential international sales. As our Office Manager, you’ll not only oversee day-to-day operations but also play a key role in managing HR functions, ensuring smooth customer service, and contributing to the growth of the team.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Have experience of general office management within an administration team
  • Preferred experience within HR and/or recruitment with a knowledge of employment law and safer recruitment practices
  • Experience in managing customer queries o
  • Management skills

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience with online Market Places
  • Building Documenting Systems and processes

What will your role look like?

  • Over see Handle enquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Working with different Marketplaces and websites
  • To manage the HR process within the company
  • Maintain personnel files and manage the lifecycle of employees
  • Assist with training and development of staff
  • Process monthly timesheets
  • Manage employee absence
  • Provide full support to HR functions including during disciplinary proceedings
  • Provide other administrative support to the company as required
  • Ensure maintenance of a coherent and comprehensive filing system and administrative processes are up to date within the company
  • Process business transactions with precision and efficiency
  • Assist with various office tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Arranging purchasing of materials and stock
