Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Do you have a strong electrical bias and excellent understanding of electrical technical drawings?

We are currently working with a machinery manufacturing company who are one of the largest and most established Uk organisations within their specialism. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and help support them across service, repair, and maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for an ideally time-served Electrical maintenance Engineer to enhance an already successful and experienced family-run business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the build of a range of different machinery for a host of different industries
  • Working on and wiring control panels efficiently
  • Carry out fault finding and repair of machinery
  • Work on new machinery and rebuild old machinery within the workshop
  • Some heavy lift equipment such as cranes can be required

Person Specification

  • Ideally a relevant engineering apprenticeship
  • Experience working on a range of machinery
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Bench fitting, machining, and fabrication experience would be beneficial
  • An electrical bias is preferred
  • Experience working with hydraulics would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of modern safety control systems would be beneficial

Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits

  • Up to £42,000 per annum
  • Monday to Thursday – 07:30am to 05:00pm
  • Friday – 07:30am to 11:30am
  • Overtime paid at x1.5 over a 40-hour week (x2 on Sundays)
