We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a private Quantity Surveying Consultancy based in Poole. Our client has been established for over 40 years and possess a proven track record of success, having progressed from modest beginnings to multi-million-pound projects throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland, and now require another member of staff to come on board and support the existing team.

The QS will be working in a variety of fields, not just one sector, and so there will be a degree of travel required. Sectors vary from marine work with the RNLI through to working with local commercial clients, such as Breweries.

  • Cost Estimating
  • Valuations
  • Risk Management
  • Project Financial Control & Reporting
  • Employers Agent Duties/ Contract Administration
  • Procurement & Tendering
  • Further duties to be discussed as required

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Member of the RICS or CIOB
  • Experience across the whole discipline of Quantity Surveying
  • Extensive experience of completing Quantity Take-offs
  • Familiar with the PQS environment
  • Strong IT, communication and numerate skills
  • Keen to develop and grow with the company
  • Based local to Poole but willing to travel to sites as required (this will include occasional overnight stays)
  • Full driving license

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

  • Competitive salary £45k - £65k, DOE
  • Pension
  • 21 days holiday - Increasing on service + Bank holidays
  • Health Insurance (Which covers family)
