Quality Engineer
Sellafield - Site based role
Inside IR35
£40 per hour (Umbrella)
 
Our client is a leading engineering company, supporting Nuclear projects at Sellafield.
 
They seek a Quality Engineer to join their busy team and assist them in completing a critical project on the Sellafield Nuclear site.
 
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 
·Supporting the Site QA/QC Lead with any reasonable duties
·Reviewing Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate.
·Understanding and implementing necessary processes to provide appropriate Quality support to wider departments on the project
·Conducting Quality audits of the site activities and sub-contractor operations on site, and off site as directed, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
·Ensuring the quality standards of the project are consistently met, raising the authorised project documentation where this is not the case.
 
To be successful, you must have experience in or hold:
 
·Nuclear experience working in a Quality role
·Oversight of subcontractors, compilation and review of lifetime records.
·Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
·Progress reporting, raising issues and liaising with the project and client QA/QC team
·ISO 9001 Lead auditor
·CQI membership
·IOSH Working Safely or equivalent (essential)
