Job Title: Teacher of Religious Education

Salary: MPS or UPS (Fringe pay scale) (£31,350 to £47,839)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational and well-qualified teacher of RE/RS to join our vibrant team and help develop your teaching. Harness your individuality to enhance your teaching style and engage young people. Our students are confident and eager to learn, and our staff team is focused on delivering excellent outcomes. The successful candidate must have the ability to motivate students to excel in this subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach RE across the full age and ability range
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum and school policies
  • Set appropriate homework, mark work, assess and track student progress
  • Maintain a stimulating learning environment promoting student achievement
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and teaching resources
  • Participate in professional development activities and department meetings
  • Support students' cultural capital through extra-curricular involvement
  • Other duties as specified in the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or working towards QTS
  • Excellent subject knowledge in RE
  • Ability to inspire students and achieve high outcomes
  • Effective classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
  • Dedication to continuous professional development
