Jackson Consults is recruiting for a leading firm in the construction and building services industry, specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering. They are committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions within the Building Services arena. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a skilled and experienced BIM Manager to join the team.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BIM Manager to oversee the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes within Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) building services projects. The BIM Manager will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation, ensuring project delivery is efficient, collaborative, and adheres to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of BIM strategies, processes, and protocols across M&E projects.

  • Model Management: Oversee the creation, development, and maintenance of BIM models for mechanical and electrical services, ensuring they are accurate, coordinated, and comply with industry standards.

  • Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration among design, engineering, and construction teams, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and utilising BIM effectively.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of BIM models and processes to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

  • Training and Support: Provide training, guidance, and technical support to project teams on BIM tools, best practices, and workflows.

  • Coordination: Manage the coordination of M&E services with other disciplines, ensuring clash detection and resolution is performed efficiently.

  • Project Delivery: Support the delivery of projects on time and within budget by optimising BIM processes and reducing risks associated with design and construction phases.

  • Software Management: Ensure the effective use of BIM software tools, such as RevitMEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD MEP, and keep up to date with new technologies and advancements in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management within the building services industry, with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical disciplines.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in BIM software, including Autodesk RevitMEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and other relevant tools. Knowledge of Dynamo scripting and BIM 360 is a plus.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive change within an organization.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and manage complex issues.
