up to £35,000 d.o.e, NN17 1QE, 8am till 5pm Monday to Thursday 8am till 1pm Friday, immediate start, Parking, Permanent

Due to continued success and expansion, our Corby based manufacturing client has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join them. You will provide support to the Purchasing Manager, and Management/Directorship Team:

• Ensure cost savings and efficiency is being provided by all supplier
• Drive negotiations for purchase cost and terms, and research alternative suppliers if needed
• Monitor performance management of materials, services, to ensure they are inline with target cost, lead-times and quality standards expected
• Work internally with department management on annual budget planning, as well as costing for future projects
• Leading discussions with suppliers, ordering products, negotiating prices when order larger consignments, and requesting quotations
• Raising Purchase Number
• Arranging material returns, and crediting system
• Administration duties related to the role

We would expect the successful Buyer to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft including Excel, be an excellent communicator and have strong negotiation skills, have a friendly, proactive manner, with the ability to prioritise workloads. You will be supported 1 to 1 to become familiar with the company processes and procedures. This would be an ideal role for you if you have worked within Purchasing, Procurement or a Buyer role.

You will be joining the Corby branch of a company that has been established for over a decade, and has an enviable reputation in their filed of manufacturing. Working directly with the Purchasing Manager, this role will offer variety on a daily basis. The organisation name is synonymous with delivering outstanding quality service, and they are keen to recruit a Support Administrator who offers the same.
