Our client based in Histon, Cambridgeshire are looking for a Digital Print Operator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.   The role will work closely with their production and creative teams to ensure a high quality of production and creative teams to ensure a high quality of production and take full responsibility overseeing the digital printmaking across all of their products. You will have strong organisational skills to manage high quantities of print and the ability to efficiently work to deadlines.   Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing print order requests.
  • Colour matching to pre-press proofs.
  • Applying prints to display cases.
  • Calibrating and maintaining all print machines.
  • Organising vinyl prints.
  • Using a manual guillotine.
  • Weeding and trimming prints.
  • Operate the Fujifilm Acuity Prime 20 Printer to produce high quality prints.
  • Set up the printer and ensure that all necessary materials and supplies are in place.
  • Adjust printer settings as needed to achieve desired print quality.
  • Monitor the printer during the printing process to ensure that prints are produced accurately and consistently.
  • Inspect finished prints for any defect or imperfections and make any necessary adjustments or reprints.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area including cleaning and maintaining the printer and its components.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when operating the printer.
Skills/Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating printing equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of printing machinery such as digital printers, offset printers, screen printers.
  • Experience with troubleshooting common printing issues and performing routine maintenance on printing equipment.
  • Knowledge of colour management and calibration techniques.
  • Be confident using laser and inkjet printers
  • Be proactive in improving systems, performance and operations within the print department.
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and take pride in the quality of you work
  • Have strong organisational skills and work in a methodical manner.
Hours & Pay 06:00 until 14:00 & 14:00 until 22:00, Monday to Friday (weekly rotating shift pattern) £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
