Hours: 08:00 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday / 08.00 – 16.30 Friday
Salary: £44k (No Commission)

Our client who are leading specialists in the Metal Fabrication sector are looking to recruit an External Business Development Executive to join their long-standing team. You will be a highly motivated proactive individual with experience in targeting new business within the manufacturing/engineering or fabrication industry. As this is an expansion of the sales team you will not have a data base to start with so must have knowledge of how to find and target new business.

Daily responsibilities of the External Business Development Executive:

• Researching Geographical areas you can target, within the UK
• Researching and targeting potential new customers
• Booking and attending appointments/client visits
• Writing of reports from Appointment/Visits
• Able to forge good relationships with engineers and buyers
• Must be able to communicate on all levels from one man band engineers to corporate companies with engineers/designers.
• Able to plan your own diary for the week

The right candidate will have:

• Current clean driving licence
• Experience in selling into engineering/manufacturing/fabrication companies
• Some knowledge of steel is required.
• Some knowledge of drawings would be advantageous
• You will be selling sub-contract laser cutting and folding
• Be computer literate.
