A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for experienced fire stoppers with their own vehicle to join their team on a long term ongoing basis working 40 hours per week. You will be working on social housing, carrying out new installations of fire resistant materials. The works will be based around Birmingham and across the West Midlands. Most works will be service penetrations and batt board installations.

The successful candidate will have:

A van or large car (required)

At least one years’ fire stopping experience

NVQ level 2 passive fire protection

Valid CSCS card

Experience with batt and mastic, fire barrier and compound

Fire curtain experience (desriable)

Experience working using tracing apps to record works completed

Knowledge of 3rd party accreditation

Asbestos Awareness certificate

Roles and responsibilities

Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification

Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately

Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work

Liaise with customers and members of the general public
