Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Shift Manager for a prominent food manufacturing business in Glasgow. This is a key role in a fast-paced environment, where you'll be responsible for leading a production team across a 2-week rotating shift pattern (days and backs). The successful candidate will have a strong track record in driving team performance through effective use of KPIs and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of production staff, ensuring that shifts run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Performance Management: Drive team performance by setting, monitoring, and achieving KPIs and production targets.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure all production processes are optimised for efficiency, meeting both quality and quantity standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve any issues that arise during shifts to minimise downtime and maintain workflow.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to strict health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the management team to identify and implement improvements in processes, efficiency, and quality.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in a production management role, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong proficiency in using KPIs and other metrics to monitor and drive performance.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a 2-week rotating shift pattern, including both day and back shifts.
  • Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential due to shift timings and location.
