One of the UK's premier Facilities Management (FM) providers are now looking for a Handyperson to join their building maintenance team dedicated team against their client's major prestigious site in Glasgow, by the river Clyde, across from the train station

The site is a multi building campus critical to the client's UK operation, housing thousands of staff and boasting cutting edge leisure facilities and amenities

This is a new build that only went live in recent years, therefore it is a dynamic and functional facility

In this role, as the Handyperson you will complete planned and reactive Fabric maintenance across all areas of site, working by yourself and support other engineers

You will be given tools, phone, laptop, and excellent training within this post

This is an excellent role for a practically minded, multiskilled Handyperson to develop their skills in a high profile, challenging facility

Actions will include:

• To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all building fabrics related issues and help desk requests. These will include, but are not limited to:
• Inspect / repair floor, wall and ceiling coverings.
• Inspect / repair free standing and fitted furniture.
• Inspect / clear drainage gully systems.
• Inspect / replace luminaries.
• Inspect / repair doors, windows and associated fixtures.
• Carry out painting and redecorating.
• Carry out Semiskilled tasks.
• Support the other engineering roles in the team.
• To support the Engineering Team with general tasks that occur on a reactive or proactive perspective.
• Carry out technical surveys of the above services and systems, reporting findings to the Engineering Team.
• Producing list costs of material required for any minor works required.

We need from you:

• A recognised trades qualification such as Painting & Decorating, Carpentry etc plus a great attitude and some IT proficiency
