MERITUS are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our client in the Netherlands on an initial 12 month contract to work on a major Energy project.

PROJECT ENGINEER - €65 per hour - 12 Months Contract - MUST HAVE MBO (LEVEL 4+) - ELECTRICAL/ENERGY BACKGROUND - EMMEN (HYBRID WORKING)

Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a talented Secondary Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that are crucial for the control, monitoring, and protection of medium-voltage installations within a complex and evolving energy network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Engineering: You will be responsible for designing secondary systems for multiple projects each year, ensuring they meet the required standards and technical feasibility.
• Project Management: Oversee project planning, material procurement, and coordination with external partners, such as engineering firms, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to assess and coordinate tasks that can be managed internally or externally, always keeping safety, technology, and practical feasibility in mind.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in the ongoing development of the network, addressing the unique technical challenges presented by the diverse infrastructure resulting from past mergers and expansions.

Qualifications:

• MBO level 4 education in a technical discipline, preferably in electrical engineering or energy technology.
• Relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in understanding the structure and operation of secondary installations, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of Elcad, Autocad, and Meridian software is an advantage.
