Procurement Engineer

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Procurement Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis to be located in Leiston, Suffolk.
Requirements

  • Maintain & manage the technical/quality aspects of the sites spares and equipment catalogue
  • Develop procurement specifications, in conjunction with technical specialists & buyers
  • Assist in the resolution of Quality and Technical problems.
  • Assist in addressing obsolescence issues including reverse engineering and carryout QC and Store Hold Inspections.
  • Provide advice and input for procurement engineering training and support and underpin the Materials Planning process.
  • Working Knowledge of AP928 and Work Management Process
  • Represent client at Station and Corporate meetings.


Qualifications

  • Educated to minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline.
  • Sound working knowledge of technical & quality assurance arrangements.
  • Knowledge of standards applicable to the procurement.
  • A flexible working approach which includes supplier & other business unit visits necessary to support continuous improvement.
