Description

Our local government client is recruiting an Early Years Operations Lead to manage critical programmes, including the delivery and ongoing development of activities and healthy food programmes for children and young people during school holidays and beyond. The role is available for an immediate start, underlining the urgency and importance of the position.

 Responsibility

To lead all aspects of planning, delivering, and reporting a programme of activities and food for children, young people, and their families. Development of provision that meets the needs of local families through engaging existing and new activity and food providers, as well as providing support and information that enables them to deliver high-quality programmes.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.

Essential - Skills, Abilities, & Experience

  • Experience developing and providing high-quality play and enrichment activities for children and young people.
  • Significant high-level project management experience in local government or the voluntary sector.
  • Experience establishing effective strategic partnerships with various statutory and voluntary sector partners and organisations.
  • Experience developing, monitoring, and quality-assuring provision for children, young people and families.
  • Experience developing service specifications and contract management with a proven ability to challenge and act where the provision does not meet the requirements.
  • Experience setting and managing budgets and monitoring spending to ensure the effective and appropriate use of resources.
  • Experience directly engaging children, young people and families in developing services through consultation, evaluation and co-production to ensure services meet local needs.
  • Ability to produce high-quality project plans and reports which enable the effective delivery of projects and timely escalation of risks and issues as required.
  • Proven ability to work independently, flexibly and creatively and deliver projects supporting and contributing to an organisation's broader aims and objectives.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload and prioritise work effectively in the context of competing priorities.

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • Five Years of References.
  • Enhanced CRB/DBS Within Last 12 Months
  • A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
