ES Steel are one of the fastest growing Construction SME businesses within the Nuclear and Defence sectors! To assist with our accelerated growth in projects we are seeking an experienced Chargehand for a project at Sellafield Nuclear Facility.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with experience in the nuclear, defence, or oil & gas industries. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain safety standards under pressure. Applicants should hold a CSCS Gold card, IPAF, and SSSTS certification (CCNSG can be considered).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage site labour effectively.
• Oversee work in progress, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
• Document site deliveries and manage necessary drawings.
• Obtain and allocate work permits as required.
• Ensure all actions comply with the integrated management system and health & safety protocols.

In return you’ll receive a long term contract in line with NAECI Blue Book rates on 44 hours a week. Patterns include: Monday – Friday days, Monday – Thursday Backshift or Nightshift. There is also weekend work available.
 

• Day rates – £22.16/hr PAYE
• Backshift – £26.13/hr PAYE
• Night rates – £28.03/hr PAYE
