37-hour workweek with flexible working around core hours (10:30 am - 4:00 pm)

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will be required to:

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for small to medium-sized businesses
• Perform corporation tax calculations, VAT returns, and management accounts
• Engage in client interaction and provide excellent customer service
• Train apprentices and support their development
• Take on additional responsibilities such as payroll and company secretarial duties

Candidate:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
• Proficient in cloud-based bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Xero
• Experience with Sage 50, Iris, and Sage Business Cloud is advantageous
• Proficient in written and technical skills
• Strong prioritisation and organisational abilities
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• AAT qualified or similar
• Open to offering a training contract with ICAEW or ACCA for further career progression
