Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with a processing dairy that are looking to recruit a Assistant Maintenance Manager for their site in Keighley and Grassington, North Yorkshire. The business currently produces & distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

The Role:

This role is permanent and will involve the management of the Maintenance Department and its team of staff, whilst also working on day to day duties within the department.

To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers and bottling machinery

Reacting to urgent break downs

Electrical repairs to motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, sensors

PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults- recording and communicating all findings

Assist with projects and the installation of new plant, communicating with Engineering Manager

Assisting with implementing and developing line improvements

Planned maintenance 

Ordering parts and inventory

Planning schedule works and breakdowns

Covering Manager in absence

Experience

Electrical qualification or willing to undertake training

Electronics/plc

Mechanical Engineering

Mig and tig welding

The role will require a conscientious, disciplined individual. The individual must have the ability to plan workload effectively and be flexible to cope with changing circumstances. Previous experience within an engineering background is essential.

The position will be based on an average 40 hours week. The role requires flexibility to cover operating hours between 07:00 and 19:00. some weekends will be required
