Operations Director - Fire and Security 

Location : North Wiltshire - Office based.

Salary up to £70,000

Mon-Fri : 8:30-5PM

The role:

The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing and optimising all operational aspects of the business, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in an operations management or director-level role, ideally within the security or related industries. However, we value strong operational leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects and teams over specific industry experience.

Your duties will include:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's objectives and growth plans. Lead and inspire a team of employees to deliver exceptional results.
  • Project Management: Oversee all project operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, timely delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints. Monitor progress and performance across multiple projects, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality expectations working in collaboration with the health & safety and compliance manager.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or Director, preferably within the security industry (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire systems) or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • In-depth understanding of operational processes and the ability to implement effective improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mind set with the ability to think strategically and act decisively.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience in the security systems industry, particularly in CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and fire safety.
  • Relevant professional certifications or qualifications in operations management or project management.
