Are you a skilled and experienced Project Leader with a passion for housing and construction? Our client, a renowned organisation in the housing industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Capital Works Project Lead. 🌟

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, from inception to completion.
  • Assist in the implementation of financial and procurement controls, including valuations, variations, payments, and invoices.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and statutory legislation, enabling effective procurement of contract works.
  • Foster a positive climate within the team, encouraging performance improvement across all disciplines.
  • Monitor works on-site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and reporting any breaches promptly.
  • Provide recommendations, both written and verbal, on quality and contractual compliance.
  • Deliver outstanding service to customers, consistently meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.

✨ Requirements:

  • Construction-related qualification (e.g., HNC/HND) or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Building Surveyor on Capital Investment Projects, maintenance, or refurbishment contracts.
  • SMETS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Strong understanding of cost evaluation, project control, and contractor performance in a social housing environment.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation, especially the Construction, Design Management regulations 2015 (CDM).
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively and achieve successful outcomes.
  • Experience managing projects using JCT Standard Building Contracts, including Minor Works, Design and Build, and Measured Term contracts.
  • Proven ability to adapt to new procedures and implement innovative ways of working.
