Linux administrator - 12 month Contract, North Dublin

Public Sector Client

What's involved:

  • Assist and co-ordinate in the design, build, installation, configuration and maintenance of an optimised infrastructure architecture for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
  • Troubleshooting and problem resolution of the Red Hat environment
  • Research root cause of problems
  • Escalate to engineering and vendor support as necessary
  • Develop, automate, and implement operations best practices
  • Effectively collaborate with Server, Storage, Network, Development, and Support teams.
  • Follow established Enterprise change management procedures
  • Business Continuation / Disaster Recovery infrastructure planning, building, and testing
  • Maintain system security by noticing faults and vulnerabilities during deployment projects

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years' experience working in a Linux admin role
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux
  • Good knowledge of experience with Red Hat Linux versions: RHEL 5, RHEL 6, and RHEL 7
  • Preferably hold a Linux red hat cert
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment
  • Experience monitoring tools to find problems, issue resolution/troubleshooting, and/or issue escalation

  • 12 month contract
  • Hybrid work set-up: 2 days on site per week
