Our client, a leading force in the renewable energy sector in construction, specializes in overseeing projects throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.

In response to impressive growth, they are currently in search of a Design Manager to join their expanding team. This is a hybrid role, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing Technical, Preconstruction and Design initiatives and strategies, ensuring alignment with both company and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and advise the sales team on selecting the appropriate product solution for each firm bid submission.
  • Offer technical and design support for all firm bid submissions, ensuring quick responses to sales team inquiries during this period and managing all necessary design deliverables for the submission.
  • Provide structural markups and commentary for all firm bid submissions, as well as guidance and assistance on fabric buildups to meet thermal, acoustic, and fire requirements.
  • Offer guidance and assistance on design timelines for firm bid programs.
  • Attend and provide support to the sales team in client meetings requiring design input. Challenge and assist the design team in detailing with cost considerations.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Design or Technical roles.
  • Working with or alongside Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
  • Previous experience in the energy and construction sectors is highly desirable.
  • Relevant degree qualification – BSc Design, Architecture and/or Engineering or similar
