✨Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to cover the North West. They are a leading manufacturer and supplier of centrifugal, vortex and electric submersible pumps for clean water and wastewater applications. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of pump systems and associated equipment.✨

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering & Maintenance:

  • Perform both electrical and mechanical engineering duties on client sites to ensure optimal operation of pump systems, including centrifugal pumps for clean (Cold Water Booster Sets, Borehole, Vertical Turbine and high-pressure systems) and dirty water (Sewage Pump Stations), heating systems (circulators, hot water systems) and associated equipment, to also enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Carry out regular maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of pump stations, submersible pumps, pressurization units, booster sets, and treatment plants.
  • Participate in emergency call-out rotas, providing rapid response to urgent client issues and ensuring minimal downtime.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Utilize technical expertise to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services during site visits.

Client & Contract Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely availability of parts and materials necessary for service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing detailed reports and documentation of work performed, including fault findings, repairs, and recommendations for system improvements.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, including working safely in confined spaces and managing hazardous materials like grey water and effluent systems.

✅Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Experience in engineering and service roles, with a strong focus on centrifugal pumps and heating systems.
  • Experience with both clean and dirty water systems, including submersible pumps, pressurization units, booster sets, and treatment plants.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Proven ability to fault-find and resolve complex technical issues in demanding environments.
  • Ability to identify client needs and present solutions that align with their business objectives, contributing to revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to produce clear, detailed reports and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Presentable and professional demeanour, with strong customer service skills.
  • Self-sufficient, trustworthy, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Full, clean UK driving license is essential.
