Salary: £26,000
Hours: Monday to Friday - no evenings or weekends!

Location: Outskirts of East Grinstead (must be a driver due to location)

Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a manufacturing company on the outskirts of East Grinstead, in search of a Quality Assistant to Join their team.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet all quality standards before reaching the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Quality Assistant:

  • Adhere to all quality control policies and procedures, ensuring checks are completed at every stage of production
  • Inspect final products to ensure they meet Quality Standard criteria
  • Proactively identify and report quality issues to your Line Manager
  • Document any quality issues and establish a system for recording such documentation
  • Ensure checklists are completed for every order, coordinating with production if necessary
  • Conduct quality checks on packages before loading onto the lorry
  • Collaborate with the Production Management team
  • Process internal production rejects, manage quarantine, and follow inspection procedures
  • Gather and analyse data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to identify material waste drivers
  • Minimise scrap and customer returns by implementing containment and root cause countermeasures
  • Inspect the quality of supplier products


Skills and Qualifications Desired:

  • Proficiency in using 2D AutoCAD LT (essential)
  • Full UK drives licence and own vehicle due to location (essential)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in a quality or materials inspection role
  • Strong analytical skills to assess product quality and performance
  • Understanding of industry safety standards
  • Ability to work well with others and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility and openness to change
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic about influencing continuous improvement in a demanding environment
  • Professional, personable, and approachable demeanour
