Selexa Biotech are exclusively partnered with Oxford BioDynamics (OBD). An award-winning Biotech company based in the heart of Oxford Business Park. OBD are advancing healthcare by developing & commercialising precision medicine tests for life changing diseases. 

The business are looking for a Laboratory Technician with knowledge of automation to join the team in Oxford. The role will consist of automating robotic processes (20%) and following Laboratory protocols (80%). 

Laboratory Technician Reposnsibilities

  • Read and follow all policies, SOPs and WIs in line with company giudelines.
  • Contribute to laboratory cleaning and equipment maintenance duties and process associated documentation to the eQMS/TFAR.
  • Abide by safety requirements as defined by the company, including proper use of personal protective equipment for working with human and other biological materials, and chemicals.

Skills & Experience 

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and a focus on high-quality results.
  • Ability to analyse laboratory data and assist team members with interpreting results and troubleshooting issues.
  • Automation-related specialist area: good working knowledge of python coding language and the use of GUI text editors such as Sublime.
  • BSc. or MSc. in a relevant subject (with wet lab research projects) or equivalent experience. 
  • 1+ years’ laboratory experience. GMP or ISO compliant laboratory experience is advantageous, but not essential.
