**GPS Recruitment have another permanent position with a valued and long-standing client.

Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for a new challenge? We are looking to make contact with people ideally placed around the Edinburgh area.

Offering a field-based position working within the Scotland, North-East and Cumbria areas.

You will continue to build the company’s already successful relationships by presenting a professional sales ability and promoting the Company’s high standard of products in new build homes on sites throughout the areas. The purpose of this role is to ensure growth within the building division, identifying and securing new business within the new build sector.

Being a self-motivated individual with strong, positive communication and coordination skills will definitely help you succeed in the role.

Key points:

  • Research and identify new customers within the new build sector, predominantly regional house builders.
  • Carrying out presentations to potential customers.
  • Formalising commercially viable proposals, whilst maximising sales contribution.
  • Gathering and sharing current market and industry knowledge within the new build sector

Main duties:

  • Managing and maintaining the sales pipeline within the region.
  • Identifying and researching prospect accounts, with the view of developing them into long-term working partners.
  • Identify the decision-making process within prospect accounts.
  • Control the quoting process ensuring all specifications are agreed with drawings and quotes being produced accordingly.
  • Ensure all customer record cards and completed with the full contact details.
  • All new sites are set up correctly along with samples ordered and all other relevant detail is completed prior to handing the account over to the Solutions team.
  • Oversee the running of all new business accounts with the assistance of the solutions team.
  • Provide feedback on competitor activity and market trends.
  • Ensure good time management through effective journey planning to maximise output during the working day
