HR Generalist | Permanent | Hybrid - 1 day home working | Nottinghamshire | Up to £34,000


We have a really exciting opportunity for a HR Generalist to join a HR Manager, 2 HR Administrators and an Assistant within an expanding engineering company.  With a workforce that spans the UK and 3 sites, we are looking for somebody that is happy to travel weekly to the Derby site and quarterly to Dartford (all expenses paid).  

Supporting the HR Manager across employee relations, recruitment, recruitment systems and processes, benefits and engagement, this role offers alot of variety and no day will ever be the same.  

What you will be doing: 
  • Building relationships with managers across the company and supporting them with any people requirements they may have - including following correct procedures.
  • You will support managers across the business with employee relations matters, that include:
    • Attendance
    • Performance
    • Capability
    • Conduct all through investigations to the first round of disciplinary.  
  • Recruitment - you will work across the whole recruitment process from taking the requirements through to offer stage (Including agency management when required).
  • HR Projects - including HR Automation projects and Benefits.
  • Analysing HR data and compiling reports when required and looking at solutions relating to any trends. 
  • Training - supporting with the training provision across the company.  

What we are looking for: 

To be considered for this role, we are looking for experience within a busy HR department, you will have experience in dealing with Employee Relations queries and ideally have had exposure to recruitment.  Due to the nature of the role and the travel required (not too often) but we do require this individual to have a full driving licence.

A minimum HR qualification of CIPD level 3 is required to be considered for this role.

You will be excellent at building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be able to influence them effectively.  Following a TUPE transfer, we are looking for somebody that is able to initiate and manage change.  Due to the variety of the role and the amount of reactive work involved, you will also be able to prioritise your own work and the work of the team ensuring that deadlines are met.
