Job Description:
A leading logistics company, the largest privately owned in the North East of England, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our team at our Cramlington site. You will be responsible for working on a mixed fleet, engaging in fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs, breakdown recovery, MOT preparation/presentation, and full vehicle overhauls, including engine and gearbox repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform fault diagnostics and repairs on a mixed fleet of vehicles.
  • Carry out servicing, breakdown recovery, and full vehicle overhauls.
  • Prepare and present vehicles for MOTs.
  • Work independently, using your initiative to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs qualification or time-served equivalent.
  • A Class 1 HGV Licence is advantageous.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work unsupervised.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary of £41,418 per annum.
  • Overtime rates: £23.01, £26.57, £35.41.
  • Participation in a first-time MOT pass bonus scheme.

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: 07:00 to 16:30
  • Week 2: 09:30 to 19:00 + Saturday morning
