Graphic Designer/Illustrator/Artworker

Site Based – North Manchester, M24

Salary - £25k to £27k DOE

Based in Middleton we are a vibrant, fast growing merchandise company who are passionate about design and are looking for an enthusiastic individual to fit in with our existing team.

You will be working with a wide range of clients across various sectors including fashion, souvenir, and promotional industries. A good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are essential for all applicants and experience with InDesign is a bonus. You must be able to work to a brief/concept to produce new and exciting designs and follow brand guidelines consistently and accurately as required. The right candidate should be able to maintain a meticulous level of detail whilst working in fast paced environment.

Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant field however other applications may be considered if all other requirements are met and are clearly demonstrated within your CV and portfolio.

Duties Include

  • Working to client briefs & responding to current trends to come up with new print designs as required
  • Producing designs, concepts, mock-ups & presentations
  • Generating accurate print-ready proofs across a variety of products & ensuring all print specs are met
  • Image retouching to a high standard
  • Creating artwork for a variety of marketing materials
  • Managing social media platforms alongside the team
  • Any ad-hoc duties to support the business

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop is a must – candidates without this need not apply
  • Meticulous attention to detail & ability to maintain extremely high standards whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Capability to work on multiple projects at once and prioritise accordingly with a methodical working style
  • Strong illustration & composition skills that can be adapted to suit different briefs
  • Must be able to follow instructions and work to a specified brief
  • Strong communication skills to ensure the building of effective working relationships with team members & other departments
  • A positive attitude & willingness to learn
  • Knowledge of printing methods desired but not essential
  • InDesign knowledge and Procreate/Illustrator for iPad experience beneficial but not essential
  • Up to date portfolio demonstrating skills
