Concrete Finisher - Plymouth -  £18 PAYE or £20 CIS

VGC Group are looking for experienced Concrete Finisher to start on a project in Plymouth. This contract is available to start ASAP and we can offer up to 4+ years to a successful candidate.

Role: Concrete Finisher

Location: Plymouth

Salary:  £18 PAYE or £20 CIS

Hours: 10 Hour Shifts

Contract: Full Time

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications: Blue CSCS NVQ LVL2 Concrete finisher, CPCS Preferable.

Concrete Finisher experience

Your role as a Concrete Finisher will be based in Plymouth and will consist of:

• Good general understanding of concrete associated works.
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
• Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, trowels, screeds, or other tools.
• Direct the casting of the concrete and monitor the process to ensure the correct depth and consistency.
• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Apply curing and sealing compounds to freshly poured concrete.
• Monitor the effects of wind, heat, and cold on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results.
• Shape edges and joints using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges.
• Correct any concrete defects and rough spots.

Based in Plymouth remuneration for this role is £18 PAYE or £20 CIS per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
