The Role:

So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Work Pack Engineer?

  • Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE attitude and a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the project.
  • Demonstrate a positive HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) attitude and uphold a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the project's construction lifecycle.
  • Assist the Work Pack Lead in the creation and management of Construction Work Packs and associated documentation.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of discipline-specific construction Work Packs that support MEH (Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC) construction activities.
  • Ensure all documents are compliant with the latest works information and Client procedures.
  • Ensure that all construction activities detailed in the Work Packs adhere to relevant specifications.
  • Use your engineering skills to assess the practicality and risks associated with construction activities identified in the Work Pack.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant design discipline drawings, with the ability to identify errors and non-conformances.
  • Keep documents up to date and ensure they are reviewed periodically, following Client's procedures.
  • Drive deliverables from conception to "A-Accepted" status, with a target of over 90% first-time acceptance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs to enhance processes and procedures.

What are we looking for in our next Electrical Work Pack Engineer?

  • Time served Electrical discipline / HNC/HND in electrical engineering.
  • 4 - 5 years' industry experience of creating work pack documents within a major infrastructure project-based environment or Graduates to have 2-3 years experience.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of working with engineering to improve the user experience (design and user interface), to help refine content and to create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
  • Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (Preferred).
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport.
  • Working knowledge of Navisworks (Preferred).
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards.
  • Understand and read drawings, understand scopes
  • Articulate, knowledgeable and confident to challenge when required
