About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Planner to join an established team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of new power transmission frameworks across Scotland. As a Planner, you will be at the forefront of project planning working for a large main civil engineering contracting, working on high-profile infrastructure projects that are vital to the country’s energy future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules for power transmission frameworks, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Utilise industry-standard planning tools to track project timelines, resources, and milestones.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews, providing accurate updates and reports to senior management and clients.
  • Support the project team in achieving key deliverables within time and budget constraints.
  • Participate in risk management and value engineering exercises, contributing to the overall project strategy.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Planner in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the power transmission or energy sector.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or similar.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, with the ability to forecast potential challenges and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in planning and reporting.
  • A proactive approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management).
