About the Role:

DCS are working in partnership with our key client together we are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to play a crucial role in translating business needs into actionable solutions. In this position, you will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and product owners to ensure that our products align with strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Business Analyst, you will be at the heart of our delivery teams, driving the process of turning business requirements into well-defined user stories and actionable tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Requirement Gathering: Partnering with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring they are clear, feasible, and aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Facilitation & Collaboration: Leading workshops and meetings to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Translating business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and other deliverables, clearly communicating these to development teams to ensure shared understanding.
  • Product Refinement: Working closely with product owners and developers to refine features, prioritize backlog items, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Analyzing business processes, data flows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Expert Guidance: Acting as a subject matter expert by providing insights on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices to help shape product strategy and inform decision-making.

About You:

You're an analytical thinker with a passion for problem-solving and a strong background in the Fintech industry. To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or a certification in Business Analysis (ISEB/BCS) or an International Diploma in Business Analysis.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with deep knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex problems, identify root causes, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in agile environments, with a solid understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Microsoft DevOps, JIRA, Confluence).
  • High levels of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical experience with Azure, .NET frameworks, API integrations, MS SQL Server, and SSRS.
  • Experience in Financial Services, particularly with BACS, direct debits, payment cards, prepaid, and cash transactions.
  • Proven success in managing or liaising with third-party suppliers.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies, such as Certified ScrumMaster.
