Job Title: Occupational Therapist Band 6, Community Neuro & Stroke Service

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Job Overview:

  • The team are looking for a specialist community neuro OT to work Mon - Fri 8/4 or 9/5 (37.5 hours per week)
  • The job is for a specialist community neuro OT in the BANES Community Neuro and Stroke Service Planned Neuro Rehab Team.
  • The multidisciplinary team consists of OT, physio, SLT, psychology and rehab assistants.
  • The team provides rehabilitation in the community for adults with complex long term neurological conditions.
  • This includes people with MS, MND, Parkinson’s, stroke, neuro oncology and other neurological conditions.
  • The aim of the service is to improve independence, health and wellbeing by supporting people in their home environment and local community.
  • The service provides non- timed limited interventions which are goals led.
  • The role includes assessment and management of complex posture and seating, interventions to support activities of daily living and vocational rehabilitation.
