Electrical Project Engineer

£53,000 - £55,000/annum

Involve Recruitment are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our reputable client. You will be responsible for the effective project engineering service, as part of a Project Delivery Team reporting into the Project Lead. You will ensure that the project is engineered to specification and delivered in line with planned costs. Working with the Project Lead to ensure that any re-engineering/variations to initially agreed plans are managed in accordance to the clients processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the appropriate Health and Safety leadership to ensure that “Safety comes first” is alive, visible and engaged throughout all activities.
  • Develop installation drawings and implement best practice techniques to ensure effective delivery of the project.
  • Working with the Project Lead to identify labour and material requirements to ensure cost effective use of same.
  • Regularly reviewing requirements and making the appropriate recommendations to amend the programme to maximise productivity whilst minimising costs.
  • Ensuring design, installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements Provide leadership for the delivery team in line with the company procedures and values, working to maximise and develop the potential of the team and individuals within.
  • Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with the company procedures and external legislation governing the business operations.
  • Provide input in the preparation of the project cost plan, budgets and enhanced margin based on the contract parameters and objectives to enable the maximisation of profits.
  • Monitor and ensure that the work of the appointed subcontractors is being carried out to business procedures, project specifications, legislation and programme.
  • Develop and adhere to the project specific quality plan that complies to project specifications business procedures to reduce all risks.
  • Manage the successful completion of the project in line with agreed quality and commercial plans within agreed timescales and cost constraints.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with the project client through relationships and effective delivery with a view to optimising future opportunities and profitability.

Requirements

  • Experience of working on large scale projects within the MEP industry.
  • Building Services Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience of Authorised Person duties are desirable but not essential.
  • 18th Edition.
  • IOSH managing safely qualification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
