​Hugely successful, Financial Services business based in Leeds currently require a Senior Management Accountant join their expanding team. Working in a well -established business, with continuous development at the heart of what they do; you will be involved in a variety of duties. The role is for an Senior Management Accountant- offering an excellent all round finance opportunity, with varied responsibility and lots of exposure to commercial aspects of finance. They will provide huge scope for progression both parallel and vertical opportunities that will open up during your time in this business.

Reporting Directly into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for:

  • Intercompany reconciliations.

  • Review accounting entries and reconciliations, to ensure that entries have been accurately processed giving a robust balance sheet position.

  • Managing the IC Matrix.

  • Investigating and correcting imbalances.

  • Adherence to Transfer Pricing rules.

  • Both in-region and cross-region.

  • Analysis of central cost spend.

  • Flagging differences to budget to the relevant stakeholders.

  • Allocations: Central/group and regional.

  • Government reporting, such as HMRC VAT invoice reporting.

  • Other Ad-hoc reporting as required.

  • Liaising with Treasury/AP/AR teams to ensure timely payments are made and are allocated appropriately.

  • Liaising with the Treasury Operational Accountant to ensure loan balances are correctly reflected in the books.

  • Liaising with Treasury to ensure internal Revolving Cash Facilities (RCF’s) are managed and accounted for accurately, in accordance with group interest rates.

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

  • Support with Internal and external group and statutory audits, to provide timely, informative data.

  • Compliance with internal controls and policies (such as TP, sign off procedures)

  • Escalating issues to the Lead Financial Controller of Intercompany and Projects.

  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts by working with stakeholders and managers.

  • Act in advisory capacity /review role for Assistant Management Accountants.

  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and insights.

  • Support/cooperation with other functions, e.g. Purchase to Pay, FP&A, Business Partnering, Treasury, Payments, HR.

  • Assist in the development of business cases for new projects and initiatives

  • Provide training and support to non-financial managers on financial issues

  • Seek to continually evaluate and improve financial systems and processes

  • Identify relevant and beneficial best practice from internal and external sources

  • Align with Lead Controllers and Management Accounts teams to agree and implement best practice consistently

  • Support implementation of new technologies to streamline financial operations.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems.
