Since setting up in 2020 the business has seen significant growth, securing contracts with leading businesses in engineering, manufacturing, waste & recycling and food manufacturing sectors.

We are looking for an experienced accountant to join our team on a 12-month FTC to cover a maternity leave. If you are passionate about accounting, love building & maintaining excel spreadsheets and are enthusiastic about using data to provide insight to make strategic business decisions this could be for you. 

Based within modern offices on Hull Marina and with free 24/7 parking main responsibilities include.

Management Accounts & Reporting

  • All bookkeeping duties (sales, purchase ledger, bank reconciliation) to be completed on time with robust control of debtors and cash.
  • Produce monthly management accounts pack detailing P&L, balance sheet, cashflows and KPI reporting.
  • Production of yearly budgets, and regular forecasting (revenue, temp numbers, gross profit, net profit) monitoring variances and reporting on general financial performance.
  • Ensure all statutory reporting is complete on time liaising with the Auditor, HMRC or other parties as required (VAT, PAYE, Tax, Year End Accounts).
  • Ensure the business remains complaint to all relevant regulatory standards and legislation

Cash & Credit Control

  • Ensure Debtor days are maintained in line with business expectations.
  • Effectively implement, review and follow the company credit control process.
  • monitor existing clients credit status and limits to ensure suitable credit insurance can be obtained with appropriate cover in place.
  • Build relationships with key client contacts responsible for payments and cash management.
  • Cost and cash control, reviewing and monitoring costs, cash reserves, producing cost benefit analysis and return on investment reports as required.

Data, Systems & Processes

  • Responsibility for ensuring the company CRM, dashboard information is regularly audited and fit for purpose, with relevant and accurate MI displayed.
  • Ensure all key business processes are documented and periodically reviewed to check they are fit for purpose.
  • Provide trend analysis and reporting to aid business intelligence and decision making.
  • Maintain all client KPI spreadsheets ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure information and data is being recorded accurately and properly using the correct processes.

Office & Marketing co-ordination

  • Ensure all office related policies and contracts to include insurance, leases for offices, general support and maintenance for IT, hardware and software systems are in place with appropriate cover and SLA’s, liaising with suppliers when there is an issue.
  • Maintain orderly company electronic files & folders.
  • Ensure sundries and office supplies are appropriately stocked.
  • Liaising with internal and external teams to schedule, send and post marketing content.
  • Ownership of meeting rooms, ensuring that rooms are clean, tidy and booked correctly.

Payroll

  • Timely collation of timesheets and information for processing of worker payroll.
  • Check and maintain the client timesheet portal system.
  • Administer the weekly payroll ensuring all workers are paid correctly and on time.
  • Dealing with queries from workers or clients.
  • Laise with any external payroll provider.

To be successful you must be:

  • AAT Level 4 qualified, desirably progressing toward CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Skilled in producing management accounts.
  • Experienced in carrying out general day to day accounting duties, desirably have experience of administering and carrying out weekly payroll.
  • Skilled to an advanced level in the use of excel.
  • Passionate about data analysis, desirably have experience of using MI Dashboards.
