Employment Advisor

This is an excellent opportunity for an Employment Advisor looking for a change in career and interested in working with a specialised and tailored service.
The charity delivers specialist-supported employment programmes. You will be working on a new contract aimed at supporting individuals with serious mental health needs in their journey back into employment, using the IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model.
The charity is a great organisation to work for, offering a flexible working environment and excellent benefits (including gym access and an employee assistance programme). They are also a part of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter. Staff retention is high, primarily because the charity offers a wide range of career progression and development options. Despite being niche, they are diverse, operating their own college and serving as a primary provider of supported internships.
You will be based in Stockport, working across 1-2 locations, which could be either community- or office-based. You will manage a caseload of approximately 20 job seekers, providing one-to-one advice and guidance in line with the IPS principles, helping to move individuals towards employment. You will also engage with local employers to secure job opportunities.
The charity is highly supportive, offering weekly team meetings, one-to-one sessions with your manager, and monthly reviews. These sessions focus on the three key areas critical to the success of the contract: Employer Engagement (working with local businesses), Clinical Engagement (building relationships with clinical partners), and Participant Monitoring (supporting your caseload and reviewing progress).
