Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join a multi-disciplinary team in Milton Keynes. The role involves providing occupational therapy services for individuals with acquired brain injuries and various neurological conditions, including Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, implement, and evaluate person-centred care programmes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and apply clinical reasoning to develop and deliver interventions.
  • Work autonomously, setting priorities for yourself and supporting colleagues.
  • Manage risk in relation to occupational performance and respond efficiently to complex information.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with service users and colleagues.
Qualifications Required:
  • Diploma or BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in OT assessments and interventions using clinical reasoning.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own priorities, as well as support others.
  • Competence in assessing and managing risk related to occupational performance.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle complex information.
  • Competent IT skills, including proficiency in relevant software and systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Desirable: Experience in a relevant setting, including practice placements.
