Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Location: West Midlands / Birmingham

Salary: to £40K plus benefits 

Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30 – 5:00

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join the management team of an accredited and growing food manufacturer who has enjoyed many years of reputable trading with the foodservice sector.

The Candidate / Experience Required: 

• Experience in an automated manufacturing environment, preferably within food manufacturing.
• Food Safety and HACCP Level 3 qualifications are highly desirable.
• Previous supervisory experience held, although a current production manager position is not essential, with the ability to demonstrate how you have coached, motivated and managed a team.
• Able to evidence solid planning, organisational and communication skills, positivity and computer literacy.
• Possess a forward-thinking attitude, enthusiasm with the drive to succeed and progress your career within management.  

The Role / Responsibilities: 

• Reporting into the Operations Director, you will be responsible for optimising resources and managing performance, safety, quality, and costs.
• As Assistant Production Manager, you will be delivering operational plans and setting day to day objectives including delivery of the site business plan.
• As a key member of the Site Management team, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations, leading and inspiring your team to achieve targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety and cost efficiency.
• As the Assistant Production Manager, you will be the driving force behind the shift, driving performance and a positive, focussed and happy culture.
• Assisting the team to achieve their own objectives through your positive management style, training and coaching – and providing hands-on support.
• Contributing to the development of current processes and ways of working.
